Ryan's true passions, doing nothing at all and exploring trampolines around the world, are not very lucrative. Fortunately, Ryan thinks physics is fun and exciting, and since it's valued by society, he can make a living at it. Naturally drawn to the boring world of equations and computers, Ryan is glad that the Stamper-Kurn lab forces him to get his hands dirty. Those atoms aren't going to ultracool themselves!
