"Feshbach resonances in a Fermi-Fermi mixture"
Abstract
In this talk I will present our work at the University of Amsterdam on
the realization of an ultracold Fermi-Fermi mixture of 6Li and 40K. For
its realization we developed a novel 2D-MOT source for cold 6Li.
Additionally, I will present a simple theoretical model to accurately
calculate all Feshbach resonance positions and widths of a system and our
experimental characterization of the broadest Li-K resonance.
Finally, I will briefly discuss our present efforts at Harvard University
to realize nanoscale traps for single atoms.
