Abstract
Countering radiological and nuclear threats requires a broad-based approach
ranging from intelligence analysis, interdiction, and incident management to
recovery and attribution. In all of these areas there are extremely challenging
operational and technical issues. This talk will give a broad overview of the
challenges associated with the interdiction and attribution of nuclear threats.
Technology development in some areas of radiation detectors will be discussed.
