"Generation of Optical Frequency Combs With Whispering Gallery Mode Resonators"

Optical frequency combs are finding an increasingly wide range of applications in optical frequency metrology, wavelength calibration, and microwave and terahertz signal generation. A promising method of generating optical frequency combs has been recently demonstrated using the nonlinear properties of a whispering gallery mode (WGM) resonator. In this talk, we will briefly describe WGM resonators, optical frequency comb generation, and potential applications.
